I just see it as part of my teenage years now. I am into Black Metal mostly outside Maiden.Įdit: Hallowed is epic, 50% being the lyrics. Nice to get new older songs as a present with Senjutsu :) Now that Senjutsu came out, I decided to revisit AMOLAD and FF, and found my taste in music aligning much more with the proggy songs there. When Book of Souls came I spent time on it and I love the long songs and the cinematic feel of their songs. When AMOLAD and FF came out I just couldn't connect, but was a busy time in my life. Hallowed Be Thy Name: Hymns by the Centennial Choir & the Paternoster Recited by His Holiness, Pope Pius XII, an Album by The Centennial Choir / Pope Pius. The aforementioned songs are still the most immersive of the songs I listen to. If I want heavy short songs I go for much harder stuff than Maiden. So if I put on Maiden now, it's Hell on Earth, the Parchment, To Tame a Land, Nomad etc. To tame a land no1 for me, Hallowed and Phantom are about equal.Īs I've aged into my thirties I am now at the point were old Maiden is nostalgia, but the epics old and new kick ass.
